Kindergarten Registration 2019-2020

Bethel Hill Charter School Kindergarten Enrollment for 2019-20

The open enrollment period for Bethel Hill Charter School begins Wednesday,
January 2, 2019 and ends Thursday, February 28, 2019.
Children who will be five (5) years old on or before August 31, 2019 are eligible to apply to attend public school kindergarten in North Carolina.

Printed applications for 2019-20 Kindergarten Enrollment at Bethel Hill Charter School may be picked up beginning January 2, 2019 at Bethel Hill Charter School, Person County Public Library, and S.P. Gentry’s Store or may be downloaded from our website (www.bethelhill.net). This year we are only accepting entering 2019-20 kindergarten applications at the parent informational meetings held at the school. Therefore attending one parental meeting is required to submit your application.  Students already enrolled in another school grades K-5th can apply to attend Bethel Hill Charter at any time by filling out an application and turning it in to the school.

The parent informational meetings for prospective kindergarten students will be held on the following dates (choose one):

Tuesday, January 8th at 7:00pm

Thursday, January 31st at 10:00am
Tuesday, February 5th at 7:00pm
Thursday, February 28th at 10:00am

The meetings will be held in the school’s auditorium.  Applications must be turned in at one of these meetings.  If your child qualifies for priority status, you must attend one of the January meetings to maintain your priority status. If you do not qualify for priority status, then you can attend any of the four meetings.

The lottery for waiting list students and new applicants in kindergarten will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 10:00 am.  The lottery for prospective students in grades 1st -5th will be held on the same day at 1:30 pm. Come join us at Bethel Hill Charter. Our very friendly environment emphasizes respect, academics and a broad knowledge base in low student/teacher ratio classrooms!
